Dr Annie Holden, is an economic anthropologist with over 30 years experience in Indigenous impact assessment, consultation and project and policy evaluation.
The video highlights the positive effects Direct Instruction is having within the Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy (CYAAA) schools. The Academy is a not-for-profit organisation led by Noel Pearson, which delivers a ‘best of both worlds’ education to Indigenous students. It aims to close the academic achievement gap between indigenous and mainstream students and to support Cape York children’s bicultural identity.
